Tempted😞!..Let’s Talk

We have all heard about temptations and Jesus overcoming the devil in the wilderness after being tempted 3 times but let’s bring it down to reality, sometimes I find myself saying “I AM NOT JESUS”, “THIS SITUATION IS DIFFERENT”, “IT‘S NOT LIKE I‘M A BAD PERSON”, “LAST LAST I WILL ASK FOR FORGIVENESS”, etc when it gets really tough and yes it gets really tough.

Matthew 26:41 - “Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The Spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak”. Therefore in my own understanding, the flesh alone can not overcome temptation, it‘s therefore more of the Spirit and less of the flesh. It makes more sense because Jesus himself had to fast for 40 days and nights before the temptation.

Our Spirits need to be uplifted and fed even more than we feed the body in order to win/overcome the plots of the devil. The devil knows your weak points, forgotten habits, circle of friends, etc and he will ALWAYS use them against you. He does the same to me and I fall and he wins because I yield to the circumstances surrounding me without understanding my true identity (I am the hand maid of the Lord).

Only God can Make you win but first you have to do the needful. Make it right with God and he will show you who you are and together you must OVERCOME! Have a blessed day. 🙂
